Shipping & Returns

SHIPPING OPTIONS

Shipping rates are calculated based on destination and dimensional weight. These rates can be viewed by entering your postcode when viewing your Cart or during Checkout. 

Free Shipping Metro areas of NSW, VIC & QLD are eligible for FREE SHIPPING on orders over $100, not including items with dimensional weight over 20kg. Selected areas of Sydney's Northern Beaches, Ku-ring-gai & Ryde are eligible for FREE SHIPPING on orders over $50. Weight limits still apply.

Standard Shipping is dispatched via Australia Post or Courier based on the order size and destination. Local orders may also be delivered by the Mall Music team. 

Express Shipping is shipped via Australia Post Express Post service, or Courier depending on the option and availability for the selected destination.

*Please note that the estimated delivery times provided are intended as a guide for your convenience. Given the vast size of Australia and the complexity of the delivery network, actual delivery times may vary. While we strive to deliver your orders within the specified timeframes, external factors such as weather conditions and unforeseen logistical challenges can impact delivery schedules.

Store Pickup

There is no charge for picking up items in store and we can arrange for your order to be collected from either our Brookvale or Warringah Mall store - which ever is more convenient for you! Please wait to be contacted by our staff to discuss your time and location preferences to ensure the order is ready for pickup.
 
Please be aware that we are receiving online orders 24 hours a day, therefore the item you have selected may have sold out between updates of stock availability on the website. If the item you have selected has sold out we will attempt to contact you immediately on the email address and telephone numbers provided with your order.

Multiple Shipments

All items will be sent in one shipment as soon as all products are available, unless a difference arrangement is made with our staff.

Delivery of Your Goods

All parcels need to be signed for on delivery, so we recommend use of a business address if there will not be someone home during business hours. If your parcel cannot be delivered you will receive a notification card and you will need to make alternative arrangements for collection with the courier. If not collected, it may be returned to Mall Music and any re-delivery charges will be charged to the customer.
 
You may elect to provide delivery instructions and an "authority to leave". Please only do this if there is a secure area to do so. Mall Music are not responsible for your order once it has been delivered with your authority to leave or not signed for by someone at your premises.
 
You can check on the progress of your delivery any time using the link sent to you via email upon dispatch of your order. If at any time you are concerned about your delivery please text us on +61480097065 and we'll be in touch.
 
IMPORTANT:
  • If you do need your order URGENTLY we recommend contacting us by phoning 1300 861 669 before placing your order so we can ensure we can meet your delivery timeframe and expedite your order accordingly.
  • Deliveries are processed Monday through Friday during store opening hours, some orders including Click + Collect and local delivery may be processed over the weekend.
  • Some large, bulky or fragile items may require adjustments to shipping costs. Please message us any time for clarification on shipping, particularly if you're purchasing a large item such as drum kit or digital piano.
  • Most couriers now charge the recipient additional fees for re-delivery so we highly recommend leaving comment with your order specifying a safe place to leave your delivery if no one is home if safe to do so. Not all courier services are able to leave parcels with Australia Post, particularly larger items. 
  • We do not recommend providing Authority to Leave unless you have a secure location & provide instructions for the delivery driver.
  • By providing authority to leave for any delivery, the customer assumes full responsibility for any lost or stolen packages and releases Mall Music from any liability or claims arising from such incidents.

Returns Policy

Mall Music aims to provide customers with quality products and peace of mind when shopping online. We acknowledge and uphold all guidelines under The Australian Consumer Law (ACCC).

Please choose carefully and speak with the Mall Music sales team to ensure your purchase meets your needs as we do not provide refunds for change of mind. 

If you have a problem with an order please contact us and we will help to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. Often we are able to quickly troubleshoot issues over the phone, or arrange to return the item to us promptly if required. We will happily assist you in finding the product that suits your needs or issue a store credit for future purchases.

Returns are subject to the following conditions and exclusions:

Conditions of Return

  • Items must be returned within 14 days.
  • Online orders require approval prior to return - to initiate a return please email online@mallmusic.com.au
  • The original invoice or sales docket must accompany the return.
  • Items must be returned in new condition, in original packaging (unopened and unblemished), with all included accessories & documentation. 
  • Any item shipped to us must be returned in sufficient packaging to protect the item and the outer carton from any shipping damage. Mall Music will not accept liability for damages/loss during transit. 
  • Any costs incurred in returning items to Mall Music are the responsibility of the purchaser.
  • If an order qualified for free shipping, the cost of outbound shipping will be deducted from the return credit.
  • Subject to the above conditions, returned goods are to be exchanged for other items, or a store credit will be issued for future purchases.
  • Certain items are not eligible for returns (aside from under conditions outlined in Australian Consumer Law) – see list of non-returnable items below.

Non-Returnable Items:

Certain items are not returnable, aside from conditions outlined in Australian Consumer Law (see below). These include:

  • Special orders (items that are not stocked, but ordered in specifically for you) may not be returned.
  • Clearance items, open box sale, limited edition and one-off special items may not be returned.
  • Certain regular stock items cannot be returned for hygiene reasons, copyright regulations, or because they require a unique registration or activation code. These include: 
    • Products that come in contact with the mouth including reeds, harmonicas, recorders, mouthpieces and related items, certain vocal microphones, unsealed / opened earplugs, earphones & headphones and cleaning products cannot be returned for hygiene reasons.
    • Consumables such as opened guitar strings, valves and other spares cannot be returned.
    • Sheet music, recorded music (CDs, DVDs), books, magazines and other published material cannot be returned due to copyright regulations.
    • Software cannot be returned due to copyright and registration / activation code requirements.
    • Electronic products that require a registration / activation code cannot be returned.
In accordance with Australian Consumer Law, a product may be returned subject to the following:
  • The product is faulty due to manufacturing defects.
  • The product supplied is not the product ordered.
  • The product does not perform to the Manufacturer’s specifications.
