Mall Music Returns Policy

Please choose your purchases carefully as we do not offer a trial period. Mall Music believes our customers deserve new products that are not items returned after being used.


Non Returnable Goods
  1. Sheet music, CDs, DVDs, magazines and books cannot be returned due to copyright.
  2. Computer software and hardware cannot be returned due to licensing and registration1.
  3. Consumables such as guitar strings, cables included in packages etc, can be returned for a store credit if returned within 14 days of purchase. Product must be in original packaging and be suitable for re-sale, that is, new condition.
  4. Recorders, reeds, harmonicas, mouthpieces and alike cannot be returned or exchanged for hygiene reasons.
  5. Goods cannot be returned if the customer does not know how to use them or has failed to follow instructions or the goods are not compatible with customer’s existing equipment1.
1 Computer software & Hardware
  • Software & hardware cannot be returned due to licensing reasons.
  • Mall music offer a chargeable call out support service if you are having difficulty setting up your equipment or not sure how to use it. (Please ask Hi-Tech staff for details & pricing)
  • Manufacturer warranty still applies on faulty goods only.
  • It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure goods are compatible with existing equipment before purchasing.

Returnable Goods

A product may be returned subject to the following:

  1. The product is faulty (refer to manufactures warranty conditions).
  2. The product is not the product ordered.
  3. The product does not perform to the Manufacturer’s specifications.

Conditions of Return

  1. Goods must be returned within 14 days of original purchase.
  2. The original sales docket or tax invoice must accompany the return.
  3. Items must be returned in original packaging.
  4. Returns with opened packaging will only be accepted:
    a. If the goods are faulty.
    b. If any items that we despatch are damaged in transit.
  5. Items must have no marks or scratches or missing items.
  6. Any costs incurred in returning items to Mall Music or repair centre are the responsibility of the purchaser.
  7. Returned goods are to be exchanged for other items of equal value or greater or a store credit will be issued.
  8. Refunds are at the discretion of the manager and prior approval must be obtained before any product is returned.

Lay-by

Lay-bys are subject to the following conditions:
  1. 2 month time limit.
  2. 20% deposit taken on commencement of lay-by2.
  3. Mall Music will only cancel lay-bys if Mall Music stops trading3, if the customer breaches the contract or if the goods are no longer available.3

2 The 20% deposit will be retained if lay-by is cancelled by customer, whilst remainder refunded.
3 In which case all money including deposit will be refunded.

Customer Orders

Customer Orders are subject to the following conditions;

  1. 10% deposit must be taken.4

4 Deposit will only be refunded if product is unable to be supplied by wholesaler within a reasonable time.



Mall Music reserves the right to alter this policy without notice.
